Jay is a mine of information! Great afternoon walking the lanes and hearing some fabulous tales. Jay shared his knowledge with passion and an endearing love of Melbourne and it's history. Great chatting about travel and favourite reading genres over a Ginger Rogers and an Aviation at our last venue. Wear walking shoes, and very highly recommended.

Creepy tales were awesome Jay was great. The bars we went to were cosy and full of character. The journey to each bar was filled with fascinating history (creepy tales) of the people and places we were passing. Jay was passionate about his city of Melbourne and had many fascinating anecdotes - very pleasant way to spend a Saturday night.

Stories, Bars & Bevvys in Melbourne If you're thinking about getting a drink in the city, definitely consider this tour. The variation of bars we visited gave us a full range of the charm Melbourne has to offer. Our tour guide, Jay, was a natural and enthusiastic storyteller, leading us through tales of history and culture while being extremely down to earth and approachable like catching up with a friend who'd moved to a different city. He was also very considerate, actively and eagerly making sure everyone was comfortable. The walk itself is pleasant as you venture through buildings of old and towers of new, giving you the chance to witness Melbourne's character and understand how it developed as a city. Of course, the bevs are banging too. 100% recommend.

BOOK THE HIDDEN BARS & CREEPY TALES! If you’re eager for hidden stories and haunted histories with a cheeky bevy here and there, then this is the tour worth going for. Thanks to Jay, not only did we unveil and appreciate Melbourne’s past and founders, me and my family had an experience filled with nonstop twisted historical facts. And who doesn’t like a couple of jokes and giggles along the way. Highly recommend, and had an amazing time with Jay.

History, laneways and Tucked Away Bars Wow! Jay was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! His level of knowledge was exceptional, with interesting stories at each stop. We got to see parts of the city we would never have found, tucked away bars and historical sites. Totally recommend this tour - ask for Jay when you book!

Perfect way to discover fascinating legends and interesting facs about Melbourne I like the whole concept of the tour. In just 3 hours, I learned so many fascinating legends and interesting facs about Melbourne that I had't discovered during my 5 months of living here. Absolute worth every dollar!

Our tour guide Jay was fantastic - knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly engaging. He created a great atmosphere throughout the tour, and I really enjoyed the selection of hidden bars we visited. He also recommended several other bars that I'm looking forward to checking out another time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it!

A great experience! A great experience! Lots of fun history of how booze has led this city over it's time, while also being shown great locations for a drink along the way. The guide, Tom, was fun, energetic and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in history or being the person who can take someone around the city and show them hidden gem locations.

Exploring hidden corners Brilliant way to explore the unknown corners of the city. Jay, our guide, was knowledgeable, informative but, most importantly, entertaining. He filled the night with tales from both the past and present. He took us to three bars that we would never have found and tailored them to suit us. The night was filled with laughter, great vibes and cool cocktails. This tour was a highlight of our trip.

Perfect whiskey and gin experience Wow what a fantastic way to explore some beautiful Melbourne bars and taste delicious whiskeys and gins. Brigitte entertained us and informed us of the history at the same time - her knowledge and passion for the subject was amazing. Would definitely recommend the tour.

Hidden gems we never knew existed - Right in our own home city!!! Brigitte was an absolute gem of a guide—knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly loves what she does. As people who consider ourselves pretty familiar with the city, we were genuinely surprised by how many hidden gems we discovered right in our own backyard. Melbourne CBD has so many secret spots we never knew existed. A brilliant way to see the city with fresh eyes—highly recommend for visitors and locals alike! We now have a new appreciation for Gin and Whiskey!

Gin and Whiskey tours...DO IT!! We had a wonderful afternoon with Brigette tge Venetian Voyager she was outstanding, thoughly enjoyed the afternoon with excellent company and great Gins and Whiskeys Brigette definitely knew the best places to go. Would definitely highly recommend for those interested in Gin and Whiskey and a little history along the way. May even look at one of the other tours in the future..great day

Highly recommend Laneway Legends Tour Laneway Legends tour is a must if you’re visiting Melbourne! It was the perfect experience with our tour guide Maria, who was enthusiastic, informative and very lovely on a winter afternoon. A great way to end the tour at the Little Lon Distilling Co. with a tall glass of mulled gin.

I’m a Melbourne local who went on this tour to explore my own city and have a fun night out, which is exactly what I got. Maria is a natural story teller who had us all captivated and entertained for the entire tour! I learnt so many great facts about the history of Melbourne that I had never heard, despite living here for years. All the bars were fantastic, delicious drinks and great conversation. Maria was awesome to chat to and the whole group were so much fun! Was so great to meet Marco, Brenton, Lydia, Jodie, Tom and others (who I’ve unfortunately forgotten the names of!). I recommend this tour and Maria both so highly, to both tourists and Melbourne locals alike.

Definitely the drinking tour to book I had an amazing time with Maria on my tour! The bars were unique, cozy, and well selected and I learned a lot about Melbourne's history. Sometimes the tour doesn't stop there either, being a solo traveller and having no plans for the rest of the night, Maria invited me to dinner with herself and a friend, and I got a few more bar recommendations along the way. All in all, the tour was exactly what I was hoping it would be and was absolutely worth doing, especially if you have Maria as a guide!

Great tour of places I would have never been with new friends. Maria our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of bars and hotels. She was also friendly and extremely helpful. It was interesting tour that took us to places we did t know despite having travelled to Melbourne on many other occasions. Our group stayed and talked well beyond the set tour time and left feeling like friends.

Creepy sure, worth it? Absolutely! Tessa was an amazing guide - friendly, knowledgeable and interesting in the people and their stories on the tour.
Small intimate group of people, the stops were perfect - unique, well hidden and interesting. The reservations were made at each stop so no waiting.

A great way to see the city A really fun way to see a side of Melbourne we didn't know about, and get to visit some really cool bars along the way. Tom was great, and the time allowed at the bars was perfect. The walk is not too taxing and when you finish for the night you can stay at the last bar and continue socialising with those you've met on the tour. I would highly recommend!

Stories, Speakeasies & Street Art With Cocktails My husband and I spent an evening on a walking history tour of Melbourne with our guide Maria, and it turned out to be one of the most fun ways to explore the city. She shared the origins of Melbourne with plenty of personality, led us through colourful artwork tucked into hidden laneways, and AC/DC Lane and Hosier Lane were clear highlights. Along the way she pointed out secret speakeasy locations, walked us through the old red light district, showed historic theatres and an old-school men’s club, and kept the night moving with cocktails at several bars. After the tour they sent us maps and local tips for the rest of our time in Melbourne, which was a really nice touch. Great stories, great walk, great way to see a different side of the city — highly recommend.
