Fun was to see the City (and learn some history) This was a last minute booking which gave us a fun afternoon with 5 other guests, plus our friendly Guide Michael. Learned some fun facts about Melbourne and it's colorful past. The boys drank craft beers that weren't the run of the mill "on tap" variety beers. Downside for me, NZ Sav Blanc wasn't to be found in any of the bars. Found some cute hidden drinking spots though (stopping at 3 of them) and had a nice time chatting to the other guests. Michael made the afternoon fun - he obviously enjoys his job. I would recommend this experience to other travelers.

An interesting tour of laneways, artwork bars, history and people. This tour company gives you what you pay for folks 👌👌 We were running a little late for the start but when we arrived, our tour guide Bridgette and the rest of the people in the tour were very understanding and we set off. Bridgette was very informative on all facets of the tour and kept us informed. The 3 bars that we visited in the tour were all different and very, very interesting. The times we all had a drink, we all got to know each other and from the time we were together, we found some really interesting and nice people to chat with whom we would love to bump into, at other opportunities and times.

An entertaining and informative exploration of Melbourne's facsinating laneway history. Terrific walking tour of the tiny laneways and hidden bars of Melbourne's CBD. Our guide, Tom, is a passionate student of history and conveys it in a very entertaining and informative way. One could explore Melbourne's historical landmarks for months but this is a great way to get the abridged version over a few hours. Plus the 3 funky bars we got to check out were places we would have never found without this tour. Thoroughly recommended.

Australian “Scotch is excellent. Vast knowledge of the history of booze and its affect on the early days of the city. Great way to see this history of the city. It was three hours of very interesting. Booze was pretty good also. Did not like last bar that requested tips on drinks. Nowhere else in Australia or New Zealand asked for tips. Will not be going back to that place.

Exercise and bars - winner This is a great tour the tour guides are top notch. Fab way to experience Melbourne in 3 hours and learn stories and history. Nice to walk around while enjoying 3 bars.

Bar Hopping Brigette did a fabulous job walking us around and regaling us with lots of snippets of Melbourne's past with alcohol and imbibing. She took us to three great bars and we enjoyed some new cocktails.

Best birthday present idea Lenny was the best tour for our tour. My friend and I did this together and we learned so much and really enjoyed all the fun facts. We have both done a few tours now and Lenny was by far the best one we have had as he also took the time to get to know all the people on the tour as well. 10/10 recommended and would love to do another tour with him!

Hidden Bars and laneway legends revealed. Brigette led our group of 15 (we were a family group of four adults) on the ‘Hidden Bars and Laneway Legends’ tour with lots of energy and great knowledge. We learnt lots about our own city and its alcohol inspired past. Bars were varied, drinks were tasty. A great experience. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend My husband, sister-in-law and I did this tour on our last night in Melbourne and had a fabulous time. Tom was a great guide, the bars we visited were fabulous and each was very different. I wish we had done this earlier in our trip, as Tom had a lot of excellent recommendations for other bars we didn’t visit on the tour.

Book it - you will not regret it! Tom and Harley were fantastic guides and very passionate about history! The tour was very fun and is a great thing to do for any couples or solo travellers. The bars were fantastic and not something you would just stumble across yourself.

Melbourne tour Me and my partner went on a Saturday afternoon. Tom was the guide on this tour, it was a fun afternoon of walking around seeing the history of Melbourne and street art. Tom had personalised the trip to want he believed we would enjoy and even crack some funny jokes.

Overall it was a great way to spend and afternoon and explore a place that we did not know.

Gritty gory Melbourne done so well! Bridgette’s knowledge of Melbourne was just what I was after, more of an historic behind the scenes insight into Melbourne’s social foundations. Many parts made for grim listening but, hey that’s what I paid for. Great to meet other interested people and chat to them as we rambled and enjoyed the bars.

Brigette was a fountain of creepy and bar-related knowledge! My partner and I took my father-in-law on this drinking tour to get to know Melbourne at night over a few drinks. Our guide, Brigette, was super engaging, knowledgeable, friendly and funny, creating many gasps and laughs among our small group of five. We particularly loved visiting our first bar, a wine bar with an interesting 're-fill your empty wine bottles' concept called ReWine - as well as learning some of the darker stories of the Queen Victoria Market, university pubs and Melbourne's own Jack the Ripper contender. No corny jump-scares here, just a heap of cool history and drinks 🙂

A Great Walking Tour of Special Places in Melbourne When staying in Melbourne this tour is a definite must.
Tom was our guide who took us down interesting lanes and spoke about the history of the area. We visited 3 pubs along the way. All welcoming and vibrant but again steeped in amazing facts from years past.
We both enjoyed ourselves immensely!

A must do at the start of your Melbourne vacation! I highly recommend this tour! In fact, I’d suggest taking this tour early in your Melbourne venture because your guide will acquaint you with the city and show you some fantastic areas and bars that you’ll for sure want to return to! Lenny is an awesome host and the entire night was informative, fun, and tasty!

Drinking history Interesting tour lead by Brigette. Was a nice way to spend time discovering parts of Melbourne and find out interesting tales of the past. Seeing buildings and bars that you walk past but don’t know is a fun discovery too

Melbournes Dark 'istory This was a very fun and engaging tour - Brigette has a wealth of knowledge to share, some pretty intense things about Melbourne we wouldnt even think of.. Bars were great too.

A ‘must-do’ when in Melbourne These tours are a ‘must do’ for visitors and locals. Our tour guide, Brigette, was very knowledgeable about our particular tour - Hidden Bars & Laneway Legends - with really interesting facts and information.
She has a great manner and sense of humour and took us to some very cool hidden bars.
The afternoon went too quickly and everyone on the tour had a great time.
We got to meet the owners at the last bar and they shouted everyone a round of shots - how good is that? We have also done the Whiskey and Gin tour hosted by the same company which was awesome too!
We are booking the another tour - the Hidden Bars & Creepy Tales tour which we’ve heard is pretty amazing too!
I’d recommend when booking, you book the tour that includes the drinks especially if you’re drinking cocktails. The bar stops are around 30-40 minutes which is plenty of time to order your drink and drink it.
There were plenty of stops in between each bar with really interesting information provided by our great guide, Brigette.
Stay in town or get a driver or public transport as you definitely shouldn’t be driving after one of these tours. 10/10 - Highly recommended.

Authentic, fun journey to the past of a great city This is a fascinating and entertaining way to become familiar with this amazing city. The guides told some gripping yarns of Old Melbourne as we wander through the lanes and streets, painting a picture of a colourful past and their ghostly remains. This is an ideal tour not only for visitors, but for Melbourne residents. I was born and have grown up and lived here all my life and still learnt things that have changed the way that I look at my birthplace. I really enjoyed myself. The tour itself is expertly organised by a very professional crew and I can’t recommend this highly enough. There are some other tours offered as well, and I may do them at a later date. Hidden bars and laneway legends My 22yo daughter took some convincing to do this tour with me but absolutely loved learning the drinking history of Melbourne and discovering some hidden gems we will be sure to return to again. Our guide Michael was very knowledgeable, approachable and ensured our tour was relaxed and fun. We were lucky to have been able to join a great group. Highly recommend!

The morbid content that isn’t seen at surface level Good stuff if you’re looking to get more of the morbid details of Melbourne. You get to see some pretty cool bars too. I reckon if you’re new to the city, this tour is a good introductory to learn about some darker history.

Our best night in Melbourne We had a fantastic time visiting bars we’d never been to and now look forward to returning to. Tom was a friendly, funny and very entertaining guide. He was keen to share his recommendations of other bars to visit and places to eat. We met a lovely group of people, most of us continued on and found a couple of bars Tom suggested.

Talk, Drink, Learn! Alda was delightful and well versed in the history of Melbourne! The tour was filled with fun facts and good humour with the other people in the group. We had such a good time that we stayed at the last bar for an extra 45 minutes or so! 10/10 would recommend!
